A Gentle Ramble through the Bible CHRONOLOGICALLY

1 Samuel 1-7   Samuel, the Last Judge of Israel   We meet Samuel, the last judge and the greatest prophet in Israel since Moses. This man hears God audibly. He is a king-maker and the mouthpiece of God, and he gets more terrifying as he ages (kinda like some of the rest of us). There's a chiasm in this story but we won't be covering it in class. The details are in the Study Guide as Bonus Material in case you'd like to check it out.  A free Study Guide is available. A video version of the class is available on YouTube.   More info at EversBibleClass.com .

Ruth   A Love Story   A love story. A story of courage. A new tool for our backpack. And some cool info on the origins of the Old Testament we hold in our hands today.   The discussion afterwards could best be described as "free range" -- LOL. Enjoy!   A free Study Guide is available. A video version of the class is available on YouTube.   More info at EversBibleClass.com .

Judges 17 thu 21   Micah, the Levites, and the Concubine   From the Frying Pan into the Fire: This one is even worse than Jephthah's daughter, but don't chicken out! Put on your HazMat suit and wade in with us. We're going to add an important tool to the backpack that will help us figure this out.   There's not even a judge involved this time, so why are Chapters 17-21 in here at all? How are these stories even related? Believe it or not, we'll make sense of all of it. A free Study Guide is available.
